This notice explains how the host of the ESA Forum on Irrigation 2026 — the State Department for Irrigation, Kenya, with co-organisers AUDA-NEPAD, the World Bank Group (IBRD/IFC) and the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation (MOWSI), Kenya, supported by the appointed event management company — collect, use, and protect the personal data of participants.

We collect the information you provide during registration, including your name, contact details, organisation, job title, country of residence, travel and accommodation details, dietary requirements, accessibility needs, and any medical information you choose to share for emergency purposes.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to administer your participation in the Forum: confirming registration, issuing badges, arranging accommodation and airport transfers, catering for dietary and accessibility needs, and communicating logistical information.
Health, dietary, and accessibility information is treated as confidential and shared only with the service providers who need it to deliver those arrangements.
Delegate directory and photography
Your name and organisation may appear in the delegate directory. Photography and video recording take place during the Forum, and each participant indicates during registration whether they consent to appearing in these materials. You may change your answer at any time by informing the organising team before the Forum.
Sharing and retention
Personal data is shared with the appointed event management company, the Forum venue, and recommended hotels strictly for the purposes described above. It is retained for the duration of the Forum and for a limited period afterwards for reporting and audit purposes, then securely deleted.
